ROOKIE RIDER APPLICATION

Open to competitors whom have not won any title; Junior 1D, Open, Rookie / Up & Coming / Hot Shot, 1st Division, OR won an open barrel race in any other association, prior to nomination for Rookie year. Competitors must sign a waiver stating same. The award winner to be determined using a cumulative points system, tallied over the 2025 seasons’ events. Points will be awarded based on how many entries eg: 15 entries, points capped from 15 to 1. Eg; 1st = 15 points, 2nd = 14 points, 3rd = 13 points, 4th = 12 points, 5th = 11 point and so on.( if only 10 entered for the day, 10 – 1) There will be NO points awarded for a knocked drum. Points are awarded to Horse and Rider combination, the combination to be stated at the time of nomination. Points will accumulate from the date of nomination (ie: any points gained prior to this date will not be counted). Points are awarded based on performance in the Open divisional event (no separate event for Rookie). Time acquired in the Open divisional is used to determine placing / point score amongst all other nominated Rookie combinations. In the event that there is a tie for the overall title, the winner will be determined on a countback (ie; most first placings).

I have read and understand the above rule pertaining to the Rookie title. I declare, based on the above description, that I am eligible to be nominated for this award. I understand that any misleading information that I may provide in regards to this matter may result in disqualification / forfeiting the Rookie title. Any concerns I may have, regarding my past performance / achievements have been discussed with the Moonbi Magic Barrel Racing Committee prior to completing this statement, and I have been deemed eligible for nomination.
