FUTURITY SIDEPOT APPLICATION

To be run at the Moonbi Magic Finals 9/11/25 Eligibility / qualifying criteria: You Must be a MMBR Member. Horse must be 4/5/6 year old, provide ABHA PROOF OF AGE stating same & be made

available for inspection. NB: The age that the horse commences the Futurity year as, will remain the same until the completion of the finals day, and side-pot event. Eg: If the horse competes as a 6yo in

the Futurity event in May, it will compete as a 6 yo at the finals in November the same year, and remain eligible for the side pot) The horse must compete in BOTH MMBR Futurity events (set to be

held concurrently Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May 2025) AND enter ONE additional MMBR open divisional event held on any other club day, not including finals. Therefore, a total of 3 events (2 x

Futurity AND 1 x open event) must be completed PRIOR to entries being taken for MMBR finals 2025. There is a $100 nomination fee, and this is payable BEFORE the commencement of the Futurity event. Nominations will not be taken retrospectively; it is the competitor’s responsibility to

ensure this is completed. The nomination fee will contribute to cash and prizes paid out for the side pot, to be awarded at MMBR finals. Once qualifying criteria is met, placings in the side pot will be determined by performance on finals day. Each competitor/ horse must enter the open divisional at MMBR 2025 finals & will have their time rolled from the open event and placed amongst all Futurity side pot nominees and placings awarded fastest to slowest in the Futurity 1D & 2D Respectively. The

placings will be dependent on the number of entries in the event.

*note – Please ensure that you use the same name for your horse each time you enter. Also, if you have a registered horse, please ensure you use your horses’ registered name when nominating, and use consistently throughout the season*

I have read and understand the above rule pertaining to the Futurity Sidepot. I declare, based on the above description, that my horse is eligible to be nominated for this award. I understand that any misleading information that I may provide in regards to this matter may result in disqualification / forfeiting the Sidepot. Any concerns I may have, regarding my past performance / achievements have been discussed with the Moonbi Magic Barrel Racing Committee prior to completing this statement, and I have been deemed eligible for nomination.
